COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL
FILM + VIDEO FESTIVAL
Columbus, Ohio - USA
April 20 to 23, 2017

64th Columbus International Film + Video Festival (CIF+VF), the longest continually running film festival in the U.S - CIF+VF has vigorously kept its pioneering spirit alive for more than half a century and is valued by filmmakers for pushing the needle forward. This year the festival is proud to introduce two new submission categories: Web Series and New Media, along with better recognized categories: Student, Animation, Narrative Feature, Promotional/Industrial, Documentary Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, and LGBT Cinema.

Since the festival's inception, CIF+VF has presented the prestigious Silver Chris award to standout filmmakers at the festival ceremony held at the Columbus College of Art and Design, one of the premiere arts colleges in the country. Silver Chris recipient, Pasquale Marco Veltri had this to share, "As a filmmaker I'm always a few steps away from giving in up because of how long and hard the road can be but [CIF + VF] has given me a reason to keep going. I was able to get some press in Canada due to the screening at your festival and the Chris award I was presented with. Thank you so much for all the help and support but most of all for helping me believe that I should keep making films."

Accepted filmmakers are eligible for the $1,000 USD Travel Award to attend the festival and see their screening in front of audiences first hand. The excitement extends beyond the discovery of progressive filmmaking, all accepted filmmakers will receive festival passes which includes entry into our closing ceremony party held at Columbus College of Art and Design. Filmmakers will have a chance to network with not only other filmmakers, but artists in a multitude of disciplines.
