41st Annual Hong Kong International Film Festival(HKIFF41), lauded as one of Asia's most reputable platforms for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers that flock to Hong Kong year after year to experience and discover new and innovative films. As the oldest and longest established international film festival in Asia, the HKIFF serves as a platform for international film exchange, to promote better understanding between global cultures, and to discover new talents from around the world.
Filmmakers that screen at HKIFF consistently gain significant global exposure. Screening around 250 titles from more than 50 countries in over 10 of Hong Kong's major cultural venues over two weeks, the Festival is Hong Kong's largest celebration of film. The Festival draws extensive media coverage from over 500 local and international media representatives asserting itself as one of the premier platforms to launch films in Asia.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The Hong Kong International Film Festival strives to foster film culture with a program that recognizes the achievements of the past and looks forward to future, provide an opportunity for Hong Kong residents to appreciate films of good artistic merit from all over the world, and promote and highlight the achievements of the cinematic scene in Hong Kong as well as deepen the appreciation of Hong Kong's cinema history.

The Hong Kong International Film Festival program is comprised of features, documentaries, shorts and animations organized into the following sections: Young Cinema Competition, Documentary Competition, Short Film Competition, Global Vision, Indie Power, Reality Bites, World Animation, and Avard Garde Programme.
