The fourth edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) will be held from 5 to 8 November 2015 in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala.

DIFF 2015 will once again bring to the hills of Himachal Pradesh an intimate and carefully curated international festival where film aficionados can watch films, meet filmmakers, and for a few days, live and breathe cinema in the shadow of the majestic Dhauladhar range.

DIFF will continue to showcase the best of contemporary independent films from India and the world – both fiction and documentary – and invite a diverse group of filmmakers who will present their films and engage in Q&A sessions with the audience. The programme will be supported by a selection of masterclasses and panels, as well as special sidebars, which will be an opportunity to present art videos, soundscapes and retrospectives. Updates on selected films will be periodically posted on the DIFF website and Facebook page.

After a great launch of the DIFF Film Fellows Programme last year, DIFF is now presenting its second edition, an initiative created to nurture the talent of young filmmakers from the Indian Himalayan regions. Selected applicants will have the chance to attend the festival and participate in its various events, as well as have one-on-one mentorship sessions with visiting filmmakers. Details on how to apply are on our website and Facebook page.

DIFF is organised by White Crane Arts & Media in collaboration with Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Vienna. White Crane Arts & Media is a non-profit trust set up by Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam to promote creative expression in the Himalayan regions.
