61st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen
30 April – 5 May 2015

Profile: Vipin Vijay, India

Indian short filmmaker Vipin Vijay is one among the five internationally known directors to be profiled at the 2015 International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.

Vipin Vijay's films are about the flow of images or thoughts, about transitions and transformations; about temple oracles (Khurasyadhara, 2001) or toxicology and philosophy (Vishaparvam, 2012, screened in the Oberhausen International Competition 2013).

The 61st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is presenting the first comprehensive retrospective of Vipin Vijay's work in Europe.

The filmmaker will attend the Festival.

The Oberhausen Profiles are dedicated to outstanding filmmakers or groups who continuously work in the short format, some of them for decades. This year’s other Profile programmes feature Ito Takashi (Japan), Erkka Nissinen (Finland), William Raban (GB) and Jennifer Reeder (USA).
