Le MIAFF, a filmfestivals.com partner is now calling for animation.  LATE late deadline is March 2, exclusive filmfestivals.com extended deadline is March 6.   

Le MIAFF! is  a showcase for animators and animation producers to showcase and market their works supporting animation film works for cinema, television and industry conference for animation technology and digital arts as the prime focus.
Animation narrows the divide between media and medium. Animation the medium harnessed by the  global community of filmmakers, special effect masters, artists and programmers who converge in MontrealApril 16-19, 2015.
Le MIAFF!  screens feature, documentary, experimental and short film through a film festival and special programs. Based in the city of Montreal, Quebec Canada, an international hub for animation for film and television, technology and industry.
Le MIAFF! will host lively panels discussions, a co-production market and surprise events. With feature animation film and industry conference highlighting the latest trends in animation, discover animation films and industry events for the professional and academic community.

MISSION
To unite and converge animation film,  gaming, digital arts and related industries in the vibrant international city of Montreal Canada.
ANIMAZE DAZE [ˈanəˌmāz] is an industry event, co-production conference and educational forum hosting a series of panels and networking events and master classes connecting animation experts, producers and the curious from Quebec and around the world.
OBJECTIVES To benchmark and spread best practice.
Keynotes from industry luminaries, lively panels discussions, conferences, co-production market, to incubate new ideas, projects and talent for industry and the general public.
GUIDELINES: Completion date after 2013
CONTEST:
ANIMAZE is a competitive festival including an Audience Award 5 selected Prizes and a Student Film Competition
FEATURE FILM 60 + mins
Open to all genres. Theatrical releases as well as made-for-TV and direct-to-video movies of all types of animation are included.
SHORT FILM CONTEST
Open to all genres – 59 minutes max.
EXPERIMENTAL – 60 minutes max.

ANIMAZE initiates a national student film contest from the top animation schools in Quebec and the rest of Canada as school vs. school. Each academic program chooses films from their enrolled students. Prizes and awards.
Animation Contest – Theme: Spring in Montreal
An international call to animators of all ages the Open Call contest for professionals and amateurs. ANIMAZE wants to provide as much visibility to all talent to as broad an audience as possible. The juried nominees will be screened to a massive audience in Montreal and online partner resources.
