Kamal K M’s
When Mirza Comes Back
is one of the 30 projects
selected for
Busan’s Asian Project Market

Director Kamal K.’s next When Mirza Comes Back is the only Indian project among the total 30 selected for the Asian Project Market (being held alongside the Busan International Film Festival
 over October 7 to 10, 2013). The project will be a co-production
between India and Lithuania. Kamal K M’s previous film “I D”
marked his impressive debut.

Some of the other Asian projects include Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s Ant Story (Bangladesh)
and Prasanna Vithanage’s Children of the Sun (Sri Lanka).  The Asian Project Market,
provides a platform where promising directors and producers of Asia are given opportunities
to meet with co-producers or financiers.

The Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Project Market (APM) is the birthplace of
many creative film projects that  have gone on to receive significant international attention.
Many selected APM projects make it through to completion and receive positive responses
from film festivals and international audiences. As such, APM continues to earn greater
interest from filmmakers around the world.

APM has been the launching pad of global films related to directors of such note
as Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Naomi Kawase, Wayne Wang, Garin Nugroho,
Kim Jee-Woon, Zhang Lu, Yeon Sangho and O Muel.
