6th New Jersey Independent South Asian Cine Fest (NJISACF)


Introducing you to the New Jersey Independent South Asian Cine Fest (NJISACF), New Jersey's most loved and only South Asian film festival. NJISACF is one of the initiatives of the Asian American Film and Theater Project, a 501 c 3 non-profit tax-exempt organization based in USA with a mission to promote, support and showcase several South Asian performing art forms. The first film festival was held in 2007, and it has been growing steadily ever since. Today, we are proud to announce thatNJISACF is  in its  sixth year, and we are confident that with the continued support of passionate individuals, corporations and the community, we will become one of the most sought after film festivals in the area.  

The highlights of the festival include special opening night film DEKH
INDIAN CIRCUS starring TANNISHTHA CHATTERJEE and presented by renowned director IMTIAZ ALI. The opening night reception will include a cocktail andchat session with Imtiaz Ali. Other key films include LESSONS IN
FORGETTING, LISTEN AMAYA, GUERILLA, 10 ML LOVE, BA PASS and
representing two stalwart directors are the films KOORMAVATARA (Girish Kasravalli)  and KHARIJ(Mrinal Sen).

The 2012 NJISACF will take place from October 5-7 at Big Cinemas, Edison, in NJ.
