Call for entries - up-and-coming International Film Festival

up-and-coming International Film Festival, Hannover

Deadline for entries: 01 August 2011

The up-and-coming International Film Festival is an international competition for works by the young generation of film makers from the ages of 7 to 27. It takes place every two years (odd years) in Hannover. It intends to present works which are imaginative, unusual, humorous, provocative and unconventional. We also welcome the results of first-time work in these media.

Festival languages are German and English.

The festival is looking for new films in all genres, lengths and formats- experimental, documentary, animation, feature films, short or long.

The competition program:

A renowned jury will award three films the German Young Film Makers Award 2011 and three films the International Young Film Makers Award 2011. These prizes are an initiative of the up-and-coming festival and are awarded as a glass film comet.

The film production ZENTROPA Norway will take charge of a mentor program in script consulting over the next two years for the three winners of the International Young Film Makers Award, offering the film makers advice about the script development of their future projects.
